Robert Caselli

Bob was born February 9, 1930 in Sacramento, CA to Joseph and Alberta Caselli and passed away July 18, 2017 in Stockton, CA. Bob was proud of his professional baseball career as a member of the Boston Red Sox and was also inducted in to the Sacramento Baseball Hall of Fame. Among his other accomplishments, Bob was a State and National Archery Champion; State Sporting Clay Senior Champion and with many years of bowling under his belt Bob has one perfect game to his credit. In the 1950s, Bob served in Korea for the United States Army. He was also delighted to be a past member of the Dante Club in Sacramento. He took pleasure in photography, was a talented wood worker and dedicated over 40 years to the electrical trade as the owner of his own business. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Joanne Caselli. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy Caselli; son, Rob Caselli and his partner Damon Gress; grandchildren Kristin Stokes (Tim), Melissa Alden (Dan); great-grandchildren Dorothy, Travis, Hunter and two more great-grandsons on the way. Family and friends are welcome to a Visitation that will take place Wednesday, July 26th from 4-7pm followed by the Rosary at 7pm; Funeral Service, Thursday, July 27th at 11am. Both services will be at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA. Interment at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
