Robert Arvene "Bob" Mauck, Sr., passed away peacefully at home in Spicewood, Texas at the age of 86.

Bob was born on November 10, 1930 to parents Orlo Arvene and Retha Blanche Brown Mauck in Laredo, Texas. He graduated from Martin High School. After graduation he attended Texas A&M University for one year and then joined the United States Army for 2 years. Bob married the love of his life, Leah Rachel Tannenbaum on March 24, 1951. After his time in the Army, the family moved to Austin, Texas where he attended The University of Texas and graduated in 1958 with a degree in Education. After graduation, Bob began his career with the Texas Comptrollers Office and later transferred to the Texas Department of Health until his retirement. From 1993 - 2008, he served as the Blanco County Commissioner for Precinct 3.

In Bob's younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping on Lake Travis with his family and friends. Cruising up and down Lake Travis in his Burnt Orange jet boat was one of his favorite past times. Bob was a lifelong Texas Longhorn fan - if it was burnt orange, he had it and if it wasn't burnt orange, he put a Longhorn sticker on it. The family enjoyed living on Lake Travis until they moved to the "6M7" ranch. Bob and Leah remodeled the 100 year old dog trot house that was on the property. He also built numerous barns, workshops and the "Robert A. Mauck and Sons Motor and Carriage House". He needed a museum to store his antique car collection. He was a gentleman rancher who loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He lived a long and full life and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brother Richard Irwin "Dickey" Mauck. He is survived by his sons: Robert Arvene Mauck, Jr., and wife Patti and Richard Edward Mauck and his wife Karla, grandchildren: Christie Barber and husband Matt, Cody Mauck and wife Stacy, Justin Mauck and wife Jennifer, Lindsey Hudnall and husband Josh and Jared Mauck. Great Grandchildren: Brooke and Blakely Barber, Miles and Will Mauck, Nash and Emma Mauck, Karlea, Cooper and Emersyn Hudnall and Hayes and Heidi Mauck. He is also survived by his loving friend and companion Camilla Wenmohs.
