Robert Derrell Hawthorne Jr. "D", age 22, of Weogufka, passed away Sunday October 1, 2017. He is survived by his father, Bobby Hawthorne, brothers, Josh Hawthorne (Justine) and Phillip Plyer (Ashley), sisters, Heather Medine (Scott), Haley Wright (Matt Abrams), Emily Saffold, and Joan Saffold, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Hawthorne, grandfather, Robert F. Hawthorne, grandfather, Dewitt J. Plyer, and grandmother, Louise Plyer. Funeral services will be held at the Weogufka Family Worship Center Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 2pm with a visitation before the service from 11am until 2pm. Rev. Tommy Thornton officiating. Pallbearers are: Josh Hawthorne, Phillip Plyer, Scott Medine, Matt Abrams, Tony Hawthorne, Jesse Hawthorne, Stacy Payton, and Shane Payton. Honorary pallbearers are: Thomas Medine and Nathan Hawthorne. He was loved by many, so full of life and like his mother, he loved to laugh. D loved Alabama Football, video games, and his family.
