Robert Edwared Mendenhall, Sr. passed away on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Graybrier Nursing and Retirement Home in Trinity. Mr. Mendenhall was born July 12, 1941, in Randolph County, to the late Fred Lee and Mary Bell Allred Mendenhall. After graduating from Trinity High School, most of his life was lived in the Randolph Co. Community except for the time spent serving our Country. Robert was a Veteran of the US Army.
He was married November 05, 1966 to Josephine Mendenhall, who survives of the home. Mr. Mendenhall was a master brick mason and worked with his brother at Mendenhall Masonry for forty years, retirement came in 2008.

He is also survived by one daughter, Wendy Fawn McMillan and husband Harold, one son, Robert Edward Mendenhall Jr., all of Asheboro; three sisters, Judy Morefield, Kay Slack and husband Junior also Ruby Cox and husband Wesly,all of High Point; two grandchildren, Stephanie Josephine Wecott and husband Chris of Rockingham and Christine Fawn McMillan of Asheboro, one sister in law, Judy Mendenhall.

Preceding Mr. Mendenhall in death are sisters, Lelia Foust, Bugs Mendenhall, Ruth Burleson and brother-in-law Bob Burkson; three brothers, Bill Mendenhall, Pete Mendenhall and Roger Mendenhall.

Funeral services will be 11AM. Monday Feb. 23, 2015, Sechrest Chapel Archdale, 120 Trindale Road, Archdale. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, Jamestown. The family will receive friends Sunday, at Sechrest Funeral Service Archdale, from 6:00pm till 8:00pm.

A special thanks by the family is directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, Graybrier Retirement Home, High Point Regional Hospital the EMS, and Randolph County Sheriffs Dept. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Alzhehmers Association of Randolph County.
