Bob was born in Canton, Pennsylvania on March 14, 1924 and worked on the family farm until entering World War II as a tank driver with Battery A, 399th Armored Field Artillery Battalion, 8th Armored Division, 3rd U.S. Army. After proudly serving his country, he worked in the construction industry for over 40 years. All who met him knew he was true American patriot.

Jean and Bob were married in Canton, PA on August 16, 1946 and he was preceded in death by Jean, his parents and five siblings. He is survived by his daughters Diane Murray of Gatesville; Debbie and Eddie; grandchildren Chelsea and Jason Anders and his great-granddaughter Olivia of Leesburg, Virginia; and Patrick and Betsy McBride of Grapevine.

A visitation will be at Grand Prairie Funeral Home in Grand Prairie on Wednesday, March 1 from 6-8pm and a Rosary beginning at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, March 2 at Immaculate Conception Church also in Grand Prairie at 12:30pm. A family interment will be held afterwards at 2:15pm at the Dallas/Ft.
