Mr. Robert L. Padgett age 71, of Heth, Arkansas passed away at his home on Thursday, July 25, 2013.

Mr. Padgett was born June 2, 1942 in St. Francis County. He was the son of Louis Padgett and Leona Mae Marts Padgett. Mr. Padgett was a painter and a member of the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. "Pop", a name given Robert by his grandchildren, loved all outdoors. Moving to the Maddox Bay area, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his 4-wheeler. Pop also loved to play harmless pranks and tell wild stories that his grandchildren will forever remember.

Mr. Padgett is survived by his wife Phyllis Padgett; three step-children, Kim Young and husband Chuck of Marion, Brad Vaughan and wife Gail of Memphis and Tammy Kelly and husband Butch of Holly Grove; a sister Mary Lee Turner and husband Jimmy and a brother Delbert Padgett and wife Velma all of Heth; four granddaughters, Allison Kelly of Jonesboro, Nicole Patterson and husband Shane of Marion, Stephanie Vaughan of Jackson, TN and Mandy Vaughan of Memphis; two grandsons, Trey Young and wife Noelle of Denham Springs, LA and Trevor Young and wife Whitney of Jonesboro. Eight great grandchildren also survive him. He was preceded in death by a son Todd Padgett in 1986 and a grandson Joshua Walker in 2005.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:30 before the service at the funeral home. Visit online registry at stevensfuneralhome.net. Under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
