Robert Stanley (Bob) Facey, 86
School Bus Driver

Robert Stanley (Bob) Facey died June 24, 2011 at Mayer's Memorial Hospital, Burney Annex. He was born in Callahan, CA September 10, 1924 and was a life long resident of California.

During World War II, Bob served in the US Marine Corps. After the war he returned to CA and resided in Etna. He married in 1950 and in 1957 moved his family to the Burney area where he lived for 54 yrs. Bob worked for Fall River Joint Unified School District as a school bus driver for 28 years. He also tied fishing flies for Vaughn's Sporting Goods for more than 30 years and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Bob was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Melba; daughter, Jane Taylor of Burney; son, Robert E. Facey (Cristy) of Grangeville, ID; grandsons, Michael Karry (Samantha) of Henderson, NV and Nathan Facey of Grangeville, ID; grand daughters, Jennifer Ferreira (Daniel) of Redding, CA and Julie Taylor of Newark, NJ; seven great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and nine step-great grandchildren; a brother, William Young (Novella) of Weaverville, CA; a sister, Patricia De Faria of Orland, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

There will be a rosary for Bob on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 7:00 PM at St. Francis Catholic Church in Burney. The funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Saint Vincent de Paul "Feed the Hungry" program at St. Francis Catholic Church
