Wilkie, Ronald Charles

Born April 11th, 1937 in Afton, IA. Passed away December 3rd, 2017. The Air Force brought him to Fairchild and from there he spent the rest of his life in Davenport, WA. Ron is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irene (Scharff) Wilkie who still resides at their home in Davenport. Ron is also survived by two sons, Jeff (Kelli) Wilkie, Greg (Kristen) Wilkie; five grandchildren, Victoria (Nathan) Mielke, Ronnie Wilkie, Thomas Wilkie, Dalton Wilkie and Janaye Wilkie; and two great grandchildren, Greyson Wilkie and Elias Wilkie. His sister Kylene (Ed) Criss and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle and Wilma Wilkie and two brothers, Richard and Michael Wilkie. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church, Davenport Volunteer Fire Department from 1967-1996, worked for the Lincoln County Road Dept. from 1960-1980 and was the owner of R & I Trucking founded in 1980 until he retired in September 2011. Ron enjoyed truck driving, his coffee, antique vehicles, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and family most of all. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at 11am at the Lutheran Church in Davenport, with Pastor Stacey Friedlein, officiating.
