Ronald "Ron" Davenport, 74, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Indianapolis, IN, he was an inspector with International Harvestor for 30years, following his retirement from I.H., he was involved in Management and services with Washington House for 14 years. He is a U.S. Air Force Veteran & member of American Legion Post 82; Aldersgate United Methodist Church; UAW Local 57 & a former Kiwanian. He's devoted to his family & grandchildren & enjoyed traveling. Surviving are his wife, JoAnn Davenport, of Arcola; son, James M. (Bonnie) Davenport of Bountiful, UT; daughter, Debra A. (Steve) Yonke of Willard, MO; sons, Larry W. Davenport & Wesley A. Davenport, both of Fort Wayne; 4 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Hazel Davenport, sisters, Marion Bottorf & Dorothy Kiper. Private family graveside services 10am Tuesday at Lindenwood Cemetery, with Dr. Derek Weber officiating. Calling from 4 to 8pm Monday at D.O.
