A resident of Walker, he died early Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Carpenter House. He was 77. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 5pm until 9pm. Visitation on Thursday will resume at 9am. Pastor David Taylor will conduct funeral services in the funeral home chapel at 10am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Aven, a daughter, Joyce Aven, two brothers, Claude Aven, Jr.and wife Norma and Jerry Aven and wife Nora, two grandchildren, Meagan Stacey and Amber Aven and great grandchild, Phoenix Blayde Aven Stacey. He was preceded in death by parents; Claude, Sr. and Ida Aven, son, Ronald Aven, Jr., stepson, Hollis Richard Dixon, two brothers and four sisters.
