I met Ron While I was a flight instructor at Sky Trek Aviation flight school at Willow Run airport. He was working on his flight instructors certificate. Later we attended Eastern Airline ground school together in Miami Florida. Then started work at Universal Airlines. We were First Officers on the DC 6. We became close friends. Later I moved from Garden City Michigan to Howell Michigan. Just a few miles from Ron. What a great friend. I

I met Ron While I was a flight instructor at Sky Trek Aviation flight school at Willow Run airport. He was working on his flight instructors certificate. Later we attended Eastern Airline ground school together in Miami Florida. Then started work at Universal Airlines. We were First Officers on the DC 6. We became close friends. Later I moved from Garden City Michigan to Howell Michigan. Just a few miles from Ron. What a great friend. I helped him with a roofing job one time. We had fun I did a very good job on that roof. Ron was a man with a very high degree personal integrity. I trusted him with everything. I never got to see him again after he move to Alamo Nevada to be closer to his daughter. We would email each other, and occasionally talk on the phone. We shared interests in aviation, Hunting, Guns, and reloading ammo. Then he stopped emailing me I thought he got a new email address. So I called his phone. Didn't get an answer. The voice mail was full. So I call some more after a wait. Then was able to leave a message. No response. So last night I sent a text. Somebody else answered. A new person with Ron's phone number. Now the answer. I just found out Ron is gone. I will miss him. I already do. Rest In Peace Ron. May the Lord receive you with open arms.
