1946 - 2017

Ronald "Ronnie" Brown passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding, CA from complications following heart surgery.

Ron, a longtime resident of Anderson, California, was born on October 18, 1946 in Smyrna Delaware to Victor and Jerusha Brown. Ron enlisted in the Army in 1966 receiving the National Defense, Vietnam and Vietnam Campaign Service Medals. Following his honorable discharge Ron married his bride of 47 years, Shirley. Ron and Shirley relocated to Northern California where they raised their three children. Ron retired from Droscher Equipment where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for 35 years. Ronnie will be missed by all that new him.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Victor, mother, Jerusha, brothers; Jack Horsey, Jimmy, Howard and Raymond Brown. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Brown; his children, Michael Brown of Anderson, Chris Brown and his wife Raina of Cottonwood, Robin Bollinger and her husband Noah of Anderson; his grandchildren, Dawna Brown and her fiance Christian of Anderson, Coral and Dawson Bollinger of Anderson, Kelsie, Kylee and Bryce Brown of Cottonwood; his great granddaughter Aubree Wyatt; his older brothers Victor Brown and his wife Betty, Ernest Brown and his wife Karen; his twin brother Leroy Brown and his partner Stan; his younger sister Mary Dutton and her husband Roger; and his nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 8th from 8-9:30am at McDonald's Chapel located at 1275 Continental Street in Redding, California.

A full Military service will begin at 11am on Friday, December 8th at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery located at 11800 Gas Point Road in Igo, California.
