Rosalie was born January 28, 1933 in Clarendon to Hubert and Ruby Carlile. She married the love of her life Jimmie Hunter; they were happily married for 33 years. She enjoyed sewing, making ceramics, shopping and cooking. She volunteered at the VA where she had received an award for volunteering for over 7500 hours. Previously she worked at IBP, Maywood Lumber, and at Amarillo Independent School District. Rose was known to be a strong and godly woman, having devoted herself to raising her children as a single mother. She overcame many obstacles throughout her life, many which would have slowed someone less determined than her. Rose was spirited full of life. Her family and friends know her best for her love of sweets. Above all, Rosalie loved her family. She loved being a Nana and mother and cherished time spent with her family. She was a beloved member of the Northside United Pentecostal Church for over 50 years, where her service as a Sunday school teacher influenced countless lives. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Melvin Carlile, two sisters Juanita Ward and Peggy Cates.

She is survived by her loving husband Jimmie, her children David Lane, Sandra Dia and husband Michael, Frank Hunter and wife Jen. Eleven grandchildren and 16 great grandchArrangements under the direction of MemorRosalie Hunter 84, of Amarillo passed away September 15, 2017. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Pastor Rodger Johnson officiating. Services are under the direction of Memorial Park Funeral Home 6969 I-40 E.

Interment will be at Llano Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, Amarillo, TX.
