Rose Marie Venera of Roslyn, Washington, after a sudden illness, died peacefully with family at her side on May 28, 2014, in Ellensburg, Washington. Rose was born on March 8, 1919, in Ronald, Washington, to Vance and Josephine Favero. She married John Venera on June 14, 1941.
Rose will always be remembered for her great love of family. She was a wonderful cook and made many delicious meals for family and friends. She was known for her bread sticks and chocolate chip cookies-favorites of several generations of children.
Rose was the bookkeeper for the businesses that she and her late husband owned. After retirement, Rose and John spent many summers camped at Fish Lake with family members and traveled to Europe and throughout the states and Alaska.

She is survived by her son, Gerald (Diane) Venera of Ellensburg; daughters, Beverly (Dennis) Schwab and Carol (Robert) Blume of Cle Elum; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A vigil service was held on May 30th at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Roslyn. A Mass of Christian Burial for the family was celebrated on May 31, 2014. Burial at Roslyn Memorial Gardens concluded the service.
