Rosemary L. (Livcaket) Yankauskas, 74, of Granby, beloved wife of 48 years to Raymond Yankauskas passed away peacefully Friday July 7, 2006 at her home. Born in Hartford she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Bernadette (Bolduc) Livcaket and has lived in Granby for 45 years. Rosemary attended Hartford schools and was a 1954 graduate of St. Joseph College West Hartford. She was a teacher for many years with the Bloomfield School System, and most recently with the Granby School System. Along with her husband, Rosemary, assisted in starting up the Granby Drummer Newspaper, she was a parishioner of St. Therese Church in Granby and taught CCD classes for the past 25 years. She was always expanding her knowledge of current events through the media, and trivia games. To her family, she was the smartest person they knew. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Stephen Yankauskas and his wife Kristin and Jay Yankauskas all of Granby; three daughters, Hilary True and her husband David of Canton, jann Yankauskas and her partner Cindy Stewart of Oakland CA, and Raye Ann Yankauskas of Boston MA; a sister, Louise DuMouchel of Newington; four grandchildren, Andrea True, Joshua, Jakob, and Brett Yankauskas; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends. A memorial mass will be celebrated Wednesday July 12, 2006 at 10:00 am at St. Therese Church 120 West Granby Rd. Granby. Burial will follow in Granby Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home 364 Salmon Brook St. Granby.
