Roy Cornelius Bray left this world and joined his Savior and loved ones on January 2, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 93. Roy was born on June 6, 1924 in Willis, Oklahoma and was the eldest of eleven children. Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dollie Pauline Griffin Bray; Parents, David and Vera Bray and many brothers and sisters. He is survived by his three daughters, Rema Imes, Dorothy Swindle and Husband John Swindle, Sheila Coston and husband Tim Coston. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brian Imes and wife Janie, Jason Imes and wife Doni, Jay Swindle and wife Jodi, Eric Swindle and wife Leah, Jonathan Kautz and wife Jamie, and Natalie Kautz; great grandchildren, Jack and Sam Swindle, Elliott Swindle, Jonathan Imes, Isabelle Imes, Aiden Imes, Cole Meeks, and Cooper Kautz. His surviving siblings are Lou Godwin, Jay Bray, Keg Bray and Carolyn Smith all of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Roy Served in the United States Army during WWII. His military training started on January 14, 1943. He was a trained automotive mechanic and kept all the jeeps and ambulances running smoothly. He was stationed in Verdun, France and survived a bombing in Paris at the train station. Roy was proud to have served his beloved country during WWII. Roy and his family resided in Midwest City, Oklahoma where he worked as a Quality Control Analyst at Tinker Air Force Base. He was a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Del City Lodge No. 536. In 1980, after a 33 year career at TAFB he retired and he and his wife Pauline moved back home to Springer, Oklahoma. in 1994 they returned to the Oklahoma City area. Roy's love for cars was obvious to anyone who knew him. He spent many weekends tuning his cars and helping others with their car problems. He enjoyed reading anything car related and loved nothing more than talking about cars.
