Mrs. Ruby Trotter Ward, SC Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruby Clark Trotter, age 85, will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 3 pm at Dry Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in Mt. of Olives Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church at 2 pm prior to the service. Mrs. Trotter, a native of Ward, died Saturday, March 29, 2014. She was a daughter of the late George Edward and Mattie Rhoden Morris. Mrs. Trotter was a telephone operator at Southern Bell Telephone Company, a trained florist, and gift shop owner. Ruby loved her springtime flowers especially dogwood trees and azaleas. She was a devoted member of Dry Creek Baptist Church, where she contributed in a variety of ways to strenghten the church's impact on its community. Survivors include her daughter: Vivian C. Forrest (Jimmy); sister: Ruth Clark; three grandchildren: Amy Hatfield (Mark), Matt Forrest (Ashleigh), and Clark Forrest; four great-grandchildren: Jack, Katie, and Olivia Forrest and Luke Hatfield; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Mahlon Clark, to whom she was married for thirty-nine years, and by her husband Keller Trotter, seven brothers and two sisters. The family is at the home of Mrs. Trotter in Ward. The family would like to thank the staff at Edgefield Medical Clinic, and express great gratitude to Dr. George Rainsford for his many years of compassionate care. Finally, the family thanks their friend and Mrs. Trotter's caregiver Lisa Bell for her loving spirit, kindness and tender heart. Memorials may be made to Dry Creek Baptist Church, c/o Joe Padgett, P.
