Rudy R. Duncan, of Bedford, TX, passed away January 21, 2018, after fighting and beating cancer twice, at the age of 62.

Rudy was born September 10, 1955 to Wanda and Bob Duncan.

An American Veteran, Rudy proudly served in the United States Navy. An avid softball player in his younger years, Rudy would boast of his home-run-hitting ability, as well as his very risqu Softball World Magazine Cover shoot. Anyone who saw it knew that it characterized Rudy perfectly. He had a personality that was larger than life and loved to play golf every chance that he got. Rudy was always a very competitive person, but there was no competition when it came to his big heart and the love that he showed as a father. His two boys, Lucas and Samuel, were his world. Rudy never had a very good example as to how being a father should go, but you could never tell that was the case. He helped father his boys by the seat of his pants and was wonderfully successful in doing so.

He was successful in all aspects of life, from co-owning his own business he helped build from the ground-up, to playing a large role in the making of two fine young men.

Family and friends were also a very important part of his life. He would never shy away from a chance at having even the smallest of conversations with any of them. He always loved to talk.

You could always tell when Rudy entered the room, not only because of his physical presence, but because he always had something smart or witty to interject into any social situation.

Rudy will always have a special place in our hearts, and the world will be a lesser place without him. He will be missed greatly.

A memorial service will be held on February 17, 2018 at 2:00pm at Moore Funeral Home 1219 N Davis Dr. in Arlington, TX. A reception will be held in the main room of the funeral home following the service.

Rudy is survived by his sons Lucas Duncan and Samuel Duncan; sister Patti Watson; sister Ginger Klein; brother, Richard Gamache, Susan Duncan and many loving nieces and nephews.
Rudy is preceded in death by his parents William R. Duncan and Wanda G. Duncan; his grandparents James and Anna Abner.

Condolences to the family may be left on Rudy's online memorial website at www.dignitymemorial.com/moore-funeral-home.
