Ruth Anna (Vinson) Provenzano passed away peacefully on October 2017 at the age of 92. She was the first child of John and Florence Vinson born on October 16, 1925, in Houston, Texas. She was predeceased by her husband of of 52 years and true love Charles Provenzano. Ruth was the older of two children and leaves behind her sister Betty Lou Johnson of Galveston, her three children; Carolyn Patin (Lee Roy) Susanne King (Pat) and Charles (Peggy) and six grandchildren and six-soon to be seven-great grandchildren.

Ruth showed a love for art at the early age of seven and was an avid artist her whole life. Her beautiful paintings fill the walls of her friends and relatives throughout the city. She graduated from John Reagan High School in 1942, receiving an art scholarship from the Museum of Fine Arts. She began her career as sketch artist in the advertising department with Sears and Roebucks Company. While working there she met her husband Charles, who delivered the supplies she ordered from Southern Blueprint Company.

Charles and Ruth started an electronics company in 1960, and Ruth used her art training to design and develop the advertising for the company, as well as the social events for the company.
