Samuel Suarez Sr. passed peacefully from this life the morning of January 14th, 2018. He was surrounded and supported with his loving family during the last days of his life. Sam was born on March 27, 1939, in Bastrop, TX. At the age of 20 Sam met and fell in love with his soul mate, best friend, and lifelong partner Sheila. They married on November 22,1959 and together they've enjoyed a beautiful life, which consisted of 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Sam was the true definition of a family man, and together with his wife Sheila of 58 years, they raised a close-knit and united family. To further his education and give the best for his wife and family Sam attended Duran College for Auto Transmission and received his certification, but decided to change his career path to his true passion of auto body work.

On any given weekend, Sam could be found out on the field coaching a softball team, outside of his house working on vehicles or his favorite pastime relaxing by the lake with a fishing pole in hand. His easy going and hard working nature was just a few of his many attributes that made him a great man, which made it hard not to be loved by all. Those who knew Sam would agree that he never gave up the opportunity to talk and joke around with anyone he encountered in passing. From the corner store to the neighborhood gas station Sam would make friends and would sit and chat for hours. His jolly personality and infectious laughter would brightened up any room.

He is survived by his wife Cecelia (Sheila) Suarez. Daughter Sharon Reyes and husband Johnny. Sons: Stacy, Stanley , Sammy, Steven Suarez and wife Sonia. His 10 grandchildren: Stacy Anthony Suarez and wife Leanna, Ashley Reyes, Brandy Koopman and husband Mitch, John Christopher Reyes, Brittany Jaspe and husband Javier, Samantha Mullins and husband Andrew, Stephanie Suarez, Kimberley Reyes, Steven Brandon Suarez, and Christian Suarez. His 11 great grandchildren: Madeline, Xavier, Madison, Adrienne, Myla, Isabella, Javier (Easton), Jason, Abigail, and Eli.
He is preceded in death by his Mother Elisa Garcia Suarez, Father Louis Suarez Sr., and brother Louis Suarez Jr.
