Samuel P. Juster, 87, recently of Bloomfield, died Wednesday May 10 after a two-year illness. He was born in Waterbury, the son of the late Rose Eschen Juster and David Juster, raised in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to the Hartford area after serving in the Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was the founder and owner of Economy Canvas of East Hartford. Sam and his beloved wife Ruth Holland Juster retired to Florida several years ago, and they enjoyed life there until her death in 1999. Sam leaves to mourn his local family, Susan and Allan Viner of Windsor, Nancy and Arthur Aube of Ellington, Janet Goldberg and Family of West Hartford, Ilene Lowenstein and family of Tolland, Heather Stavens and family of Ellington, Christine Potash and family of Portland and Andrew Aube and family of Unionville. He leaves several nieces and nephews out of State. He was blessed with many friends all over the United States. He was predeceased by his brothers Hyman and Abraham (Al). Our family extends its sincere thanks to the staff of the Seabury Meadows and the Davis Unit of Seabury for the care provided to Sam. A special thanks for the expertise provided by Marina Soloveychik R.N. Marcella Evans C.N.A and Janelle Pinunsky. We extend our thanks to the VNA Health Care Hospice for their compassion. Sam will be buried along side Ruth at the Florida National Veteran’s Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl.. The family will hold a memorial service at a future date. It was Sam’s wish that donation in his memory be made to the organizations conducting research on Ruth’s illnesses – National Parkinson’s Foundation, 1501, N.W. 9th. Ave., Miami, Fl. 33136 or Alzheimer’s Association, 919 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, Il. 60611. Carmon Windsor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. May his memory be for a blessing.
