Samuel M. Lujan, 54, Colorado City passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 18th 2017.
He was born on December 2, 1962 to Manuel and Eva Valdez Lujan in Colorado City.
Sam was a loving and caring man who was a lifelong member of the community. He graduated from Colorado High in 1981 where he played football. Sam was a quiet natured man who always put his family first making sure to enjoy spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a man who believed highly in education, having received 2 degrees from WTC in Snyder. Aside from spending time with family he had a passion for reading and could always be seen studying from a book or on the internet. Though quiet in nature he was an inspiration to many, lending a hand to anybody who needed it, leading by example to show what respect and love for your neighbor should truly look like. In his spare time he enjoyed watching the Cowboys and Rangers play ball.
Sam is survived by his brother Felix Lujan and wife Melissa of Colorado City, his sisters Michele Munoz and husband Richard of Colorado City and Racheal Bass and husband Danny of Snyder, as well as by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Eva Lujan.
A Mass of Christian burial for Sam will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church of Colorado City on Friday, April 21st at 10 am with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. The family will be present for a visitation on Thursday night April 20th from 6-8 pm with a rosary to be held at 7 pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel.
