It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Samuel V. Rucci who passed away at home quietly with his family at his side on November 27 2017. Sam was born on August 24, 1924 in Hartford Ct, son of the late Gregorio and Maria (Cifaldi) Rucci.
Sam was a quiet man who was devoted to his family. He was married to the love of his life Frances (Fiocchi) Rucci for seventy one years. Sam and Fran divided their time between Glastonbury and Niantic Ct, and spent winters in Sarasota Florida.
Sam served in the USN during WWII. Later he went on to work for AT&T as an area Supervisor for over 40 years. In addition to his career at AT&T, he was a gifted carpenter and master craftsman. He could build, fix or design anything. He proudly lived a very active life, loved tennis, boating and fishing and many outdoor activities.
Samuel is survived by his wife Frances, his two daughters Carla Brown of Oakton Virginia, Madelyn Rucci of Glastonbury Ct, his son Gregory and wife Andi Rucci of Saint Mary's City MD.
