Santos Lopes Reyes Sr., 81, of Colorado City, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 30, 2016.
He was born on June 19, 1935 in Sonora, Texas to Guillermo and Sophia Lopes Reyes.
Santos was a hard-working man, who worked until he was 70 to support his family and to give them a good life. He was also a very religious man who knew his Bible inside and out and who was not afraid to pray. He loved his family greatly always making sure to make time for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was known to be a 'Jack of all trades", was a self-taught electrician and refrigeration expert, often picking up work to help local electricians and refrigeration companies.
Santos is survived by his children; Santos Reyes Jr. of Colorado City, Delma Rocha and husband Alex of Colorado City, Cynthia Fernandez and husband Alex of Breckenridge, and Elizabeth Viveros and husband Ruben Jr. of Rosenberg. Also surviving are his grandchildren Armando Rocha, Sonya Rocha, Alexi Fernandez, and Kimberly Viveros, and his great-grandchildren Kayla Rocha and Jayrdan Espinoza, as well as by a sister Ophelia Garcia and husband Enrique of Bridgeport.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lucia Mendoza Reyes , and by his siblings Guillermo Reyes Jr., Julian Reyes, Ismael Reyes, Macedonio Reyes, and Olga Reyes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating
The family will be present for a visitation on Friday, December 2nd from 6-8 pm at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home with a rosary to be held at 7 pm.
