She supported Donald as Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 166 for over 15 years and coached the scouts with their achievements and merit badges, as well as served as sports teams' mom. Sara was close to her grandchildren, provided them love, served a confidant and coach and imparted her positive outlook. Sara is also survived by her nieces and nephew, Jennifer, Nicole and her husband, Chris Anderson, and John Stutes, respectively. Sara and Donald frequently took care of Nicole and John on weekends during their early years and developed a strong bond with them. Sara was preceded in her death by her son, David Keith Jones at his birth in 1959, her brother, Frank Daidone, and by her parents.
Sara worked for the Astrodome in the Finance Department for over 10 years and was a long time Astros fan. Previously, she worked as a medical lab technician in what is now known as the Houston Medical Center. For the last 40 years, she worked with her husband at Industrial Neon Sign Corporation, handling payroll and many of the financial responsibilities of the company as recently as few days before her passing. Sara was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was always positive and encouraging. Anyone who knew her understood she would always be there for love and support. Sara was very smart and intuitive. She prized loyalty and you could always count of her to be there and be there on time. She would always give you the right advice and help you follow the advice. She was fun and adventurous. She loved to dance and taught her sons and friends how to dance, and frequently hosted parties for her children. She was very generous and always ready to help. She would easily laugh, even as her husband and sons would tease her. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held in her honor at 10:00am on November 11, 2017 at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478.
