Sarah Martemucci, nee Sarina Puccia, was born on December 18, 1919 to John and Rose Puccia. On July 2, 1939, she married Frank P. Martemucci, a succcessful, award-winning butcher known as "The Creamer" in the tri-state area. Sarah was a devoted wife, mother of two(Vincent and Rosemarie), and superior educator in the New York City School System. She attained three Master's Degrees in Education and School Administration, but remained in the classroom because she loved her students. She won many awards during her career, including Teacher of the Year. She was, in addition, a lyricist, musician, vocalist and author of a children's book, Marty and Smarty. She is survived by Vincent and Peg, Rosemarie and Mike Navatta, her three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. On March 8, 2012, she joined her beloved husband, Frank, and they now reside in a mansion of glory with our Lord in Heaven.
