Scott Daniel Frerichs, 37, of Bartonville, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving
family at 9:35 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Unitypoint Health - Methodist Hospital in Peoria,
IL. He was born on February 3, 1980 in Peoria, IL to Denny and Sherry (Drowns) Frerichs of Bartonville,
IL. He attended Oak Grove Grade School, graduated from Limestone Community High School in 1998,
and studied at Illinois Community College.

Scott was a Public Safety Site Supervisor for U.S. Security Associates at Advocate BroMenn
Regional Medical Center in Normal, IL. In his spare time, Scott was heavily involved with various
activities for the church and youth group. He also loved officiating fly ball, IHSA baseball, basketball, and
football games. He was adamant about keeping the games fun and making the right call for the love of
the sport and players. Scott was a compassionate soul with the heart of a servant who went out of his
way to care for those around him. His joyful spirit and smile will be dearly missed.

Scott is survived by his grandparents Harold and Helen Frerichs of Peoria; his parents Denny and
Sherry Frerichs of Bartonville; Uncle Darold (Carrie) Frerichs of Morton; Brother Darin (Kimberly)
Frerichs of Milwaukee, WI and his beloved nieces Nora and Charlotte. He was preceded in death by
many family members, including his cherished great-grandmother Tracy Cramer.

The family would like to express their deepest thanks and gratitude to the 4th floor South
Rehabilitation & 7th floor Crescent nurses and staff at Unity Point/Methodist Hospital for their amazing
care, compassion, and commitment to making Scott feel right at home.

A service celebrating Scott's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at St.
John Lutheran Church, 6614 W Smithville Rd, Peoria, IL 61607 with burial service and lunch to follow.
The Davison-Fulton/Bartonville Chapel will be handling arrangements.

Memorials may be made to The St. John Lutheran Church Youth Group "Cross Fyre" where Scott served
