Scott H. Trail, Jr., age 93, of Kaufman passed away on May 8, 2016 in Rowlett, Texas. Scotty was born March 15, 1923 to Scott H. and Essie Lee “Beckie” (Beckworth) Trail in Forney, Texas. He grew up in Kaufman County and after graduation from Kaufman High School attended Texas A & M before joining the Army Air Corps as an instructor pilot during World War II. After the war, he farmed with his father and later ventured into the cotton ginning business. At retirement, he and his brother owned and operated the Trail Brothers Gin in Talty, Texas. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.



Scotty is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Mary Ann Trail of Rockwall; daughter and son-in-law, Robert and Rebecca Puster of Allen; son David Trail of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Newt and Ann Trail of Kemp; brother, James Trail of Avondale, Arizona; sister-in-law, Rebecca Trail of Houston; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.



He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma (Browning) Trail; his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Wade and Mary Jane Kiser; sister-in-law, Priscilla Trail; and brother, Melvin Trail.



A memorial service will be held at the Becker United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 22 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the Becker Community Center.
