Sebert Leon Woods, 93, of Campbell's Creek, surrounded by loved ones, departed this world to be with the Lord on June 26, 2017. His many years of faith in Jesus Christ is now made sight.



Leon was a member of Point Lick Gospel Tabernacle, a WWII veteran, and retired truck driver, with Coastal. Dad’s favorite past-time was singing the old-time gospel songs. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy, of fifty-nine years; son, Glenn.



Surviving: son- Gary “Muggins” of Charleston; daughters- Karen Gallimore (Charles) of Whitesville, Carol Knapp (James), of Marmet, Kathy Knapp (Mike) of Edgewater, FL.; grandchildren Kimberly Russell of Sundial (fiancé- Randy Barker), Jimmy Knapp (Bonita) of Belle; three great grandsons Matthew, Mark, John Michael Knapp; brother Rev. Hubert Woods of Quick.



The family is indebted to those who befriended Leon. As well, Kelli Dumm, M.D., Clark Adkins, M.D., their staffs, Genesis- Oak Ridge Center, Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston.



A memorial service to honor Leon’s life will be held at 11:30 AM July 14, 2017 at Graceland Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, officiated by Pastor Larry Campbell.
