Sep Morgan, 71, passed away on Friday January 27, 2017 in Abilene. Funeral services will be held at 12:00p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew M. Lubin, Sr. officiating under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at 11:00a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017 in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Sep was born on May 3, 1945 to the late Rev. Samuel Morgan and Vearl L. Morgan of Choccolocco, Alabama. He received his education at Choccolocco Elementary and Calhoun County Training School in Hobson City. Shortly after graduating he joined the U.S. Air Force on May 7, 1965. While stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, he met and married Patricia Williams and they were blessed with three children. Sep served 23 ½ years in the U.S. Air Force and worked at HMC for 13 years.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Will Houston, Marcus, Joel, Charles and Lonnie Morgan; and one sister, Geraldine Miller. His life will be forever cherished by his loving family; wife, Patricia A. Morgan; one son, Tony E. Morgan; two daughters, Terry E. Morgan and Tracey E. Morgan all of Abilene; grandchildren, Evaughn and DeVaughnn Coleman, and Danielle, Dacey, Danessa and Daelen Morgan; brothers, Clarence (Lela) Morgan of Auburn, AL, Elous (Emma) Morgan of Indianapolis, IN, Billy Jo (Gwendolyn) Morgan of Piedmont, AL, and Robert Morgan of Thailand; one sister, Marva (Ben) Grimes of Durham, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline (Michael) Grant and Clara Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
