"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come". 2 Cor. 5:17

Sharon Nicholas Chisholm, a much loved wife, sister, mother, daughter and friend, she went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. As per her wish, her body will be cremated. A memorial celebration of her life will be held at HeartsEase Family Life Church, 12112 Florida Blvd., on Friday, March 16 at 10 a.m., with services by Pastor Phillip Pimlott. She was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, a former licensed cosmetologist and realtor, and owned her own home cleaning business. She was a graduate of Istrouma High School and a member of Bethany World Prayer Center, and a former member of HeartsEase Family Life Church. She is survived by her former husband, and best friend, Patrick J. Maranto; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Clyde James Chisholm, Jr. and wife, Kayla, Brian J. Chisholm and Michael D. Chisholm; grandchildren, Brian Chisholm, Jr. and Isabella Chisholm; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette N. Woodruff and husband, Murphy, and Tessie C. Freeman and husband, Larry; three nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert L. Nicholas and Angelo P. and Dorothy G. Corsentino; and a nephew, Joseph A. Villamil. She was a devout Christian who led many others to Christ through her testimony. She was passionate about family and loved the holidays, especially Christmas time. She was much loved, and will be forever missed by all who knew her, especially her sisters. She is gone from our lives, but her memory and spirit will live with us until we meet again. Our heartfelt thanks to many of her dear friends who stood by her through it all, but especially to Patrick, who was her friend and caretaker, and was with her through the end.
