Sherrie Lynn Brown, age 50, of Nottawa, MI passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born June 19, 1959 in Sturgis, MI a daughter to Robert and Della (Marchand) McDaniel. Sherrie had been a resident of Nottawa, MI for the past six months and had previously been a resident of Sturgis, MI most of her life. She had been employed as an aide for Sturgis Home Health Care and Thurston Woods Village. Sherrie was a member of New Beginnings Church and enjoyed music and being with her many friends. She was a caring person and would give most anything she had to help others in need. Surviving are her husband: Thomas Brown of Nottawa, MI; 1 daughter: Amanda Griffin of Sturgis, MI; 2 sons: Kenneth Harrington of Burr Oak, MI and Colton Stevens of Sturgis, MI; 2 grandchildren: Garrett Sparks and Billy Daughtry; parents: Robert & Della McDaniel of Constantine, MI; Maternal Grandmother: Ruth Marchand of Centreville, MI; step-brothers: Bill (Connie) McDaniel and Bobby McDaniel both of Constantine; and a niece: Kylar McDaniel. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Tara Sparks. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M., Thursday, at the New Beginnings Church, 63022 N. M-66, Sturgis, MI 49091. Funeral services celebrating the life of Sherrie Brown will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, at the church with The Rev. Randy Evans, officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Memorial donations may be directed to the Brown family, 26000 Zarza Lane, Nottawa, MI 49075.
