Shirley Ilene McKinney, age 80, of West Salem, IL, passed from this life into Eternity on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Burgin Manor, Olney, IL.
Shirley was born January 23, 1930 to Nettie (Schofield) and Clifford Reynolds in East Lynn, IL.

She married Ted McKinney on November 11, 1956 in Potomac, Illinois.

Shirley was a member of the West Salem Christian Church, and was also a TOPS member. She was a Hospice volunteer and also helped with the church food pantry for many years. Shirley enjoyed quilting, cooking, and baking; with cinnamon rolls being one of her specialties. She
thoroughly loved attending all of her kids and grandkids sporting events. Shirley was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Clyde and Russell Reynolds, one sister: Rena Tomaw, and one great-granddaughter: Chloe Farmer.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Ted McKinney, West Salem, IL., one daughter: Judy (Jim) Maris, Ballwin, MO., 5 sons: Phil (Jane) McKinney, Edwardsville, IL, Ted McKinney, St. Louis, MO, Jed (Mary) McKinney West Terre Haute, IN., Craig (Connie) McKinney, West Salem, IL, Jason (Tricia) McKinney, West Salem, IL, 13 grandchildren: Ted McKinney, Micah McKinney, Eleni Fleming, Lucas McKinney, Sarah McKinney, Laura Farmer, Cortney McKinney, Erin McKinney, Maddy McKinney, Kayla Hanisch, Lauren Hanisch, Clifford McKinney, Kylie McKinney, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service for Shirley McKinney will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the West Salem Christian Church with burial to follow at the Moravian Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the charity of the donors' choice, or the Pinhook Cemetery.
