Shirley (O'Loughlin) LaCava entered into eternal peace Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the age of 88 with her loving family by her side.

She resided in Fall River and was the loving wife of the late Anthony (Tony) LaCava for over 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marianna (Ferreira) O'Loughlin.
Shirley was a kind, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and considered to be the Matriarch of her family. She will be greatly missed by her 4 children: John (wife Nancy), Barbara Sowersby (husband Bill), Paul (wife Kathleen), and Steven (wife Allison). She also cherished spending time with her 14 Grandchildren; Erin Darowski (husband Adam), Christopher LaCava, David LaCava (wife Simone), Jessica LaCava (husband Sonny Krishana), Megan Vartanian (husband Paul), Craig Sowersby (wife Claudia), Joshua Sowersby (wife Holly), Brittany Sowersby, Jennifer Amaral (husband Victor), Justin LaCava (wife Meghan), Jillian Dore (husband Ryan), Jenny Lee Fortier, Jocelyn LaCava and Joy LaCava.

Shirley also treasured every second of her time that was spent with her 16 Great Grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Eunice Macintyre (husband Charles) and Marion Gagnon (husband Leo) with whom she and Tony shared great times laughing and reminiscing!

Shirley was a lifelong member of the "Mother of Twins" club. She loved reading, crocheting, cooking and spending time sitting on the deck of their summer home in York, Maine enjoying the ocean with Tony, family and friends.

She also leaves behind her "Forever Friends", Mrs. Louise Iadicola, Peggy Sowersby, and Stan and Evelyn Piotrowski. Shirley had a heart of gold and her thoughtfulness, generosity and compassion will be missed by all.
