Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) Sisto Manuel "Manny" Campos, passed in peace at the age of 78, January 10, 2018, at the Metroplex Adventist Hospital in Killeen, TX., surrounded by his family. He was born in San Antonio to Reymundo and Ramona Campos, April 6, 1939, one of seven children.

Manny was raised in San Antonio and New Braunfels until he joined the military August 9, 1961. He served in the Vietnam War and during his military career was awarded the Bronze Star, the Vietnam Service Medal and several other awards. His success in the Army can be directly attributed to his work ethic and mechanical ability. The discipline and patriotism he obtained in the Army never left him as family and friends will attest. He retired as Sargent Major after 30 years in 1991. His dedication forever remained strong. He loved the opportunity to give to those in need. When fellow neighbors were called out for duty, he enjoyed riding out on his mower to keep their yards looking neat and tidy.
