WILLIAMSBURG- Stephen Puleo, 83, of Williamsburg, VA, died on November 20, 2017, after a brief illness.

Stephen was born May 24, 1934 and raised in Providence, RI. After graduating from high school, he joined the Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He obtained an Accounting Degree from McNeese State University in Louisiana and became a CPA. Stephen worked many years as a Senior Tax Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers and also worked for the Berkshire Group in the Real Estate Industry, and served on several boards. After retiring, Steve and Linda settled in Ford's Colony in Williamsburg VA, where he enjoyed playing golf, exercising, socializing with his many friends, walking the beach and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jennie Puleo; grandson, Joshua Puleo; and sisters, Frances Angelina, Marie Manni, Joan Petteruti, and Diane Capece. Stephen is survived by his wife Linda; daughters, Gwendolyn Engdahl and her husband Gary of Weymouth, MA and Jennifer of Hingham, MA; sons, Stephen and his wife Brenda of Saco, ME, and David and his wife Beth of Flower Mound, TX; six grandchildren and two grandsons-in-law, Kelly Castro and husband, Tony, of Peachtree City, GA, Caitlin Morrison and her husband, Ryan, of Abington, MA, Jonathan Puleo and Alyssa Puleo of Flower Mound, TX and Joseph and Isabella Puleo of Saco, ME; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Alex Castro of Peachtree City, GA. He is survived also by his sister, Annette Marinaro of RI; mother-in-law, Wanda Short; sister-in-law, Janet Short; and brothers-in-law, Toomie and Tommy Short of AR; and many beloved nieces and nephews and their families.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017, at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA at 2:00 PM followed by a reception for friends and family.
