Steven M. Forestiere was born on October 2, 1959, and passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, November 19, 2017.
Steve graduated from Hoover High School in 1977, where he played water polo. He followed in his Dad's footsteps learning the electrical trade and making that his profession for 40 years. He was employed with IBEW local 100.
Steve was a member of The Dante Club where he was club president in 1996, and played in many bocce ball tournaments. He was known as "Coach Steve" by so many young boys and was happiest out on the soccer and baseball fields coaching his kids. He was also an avid Oakland Raider fan.
Steve's smile and boisterous laughter will be greatly missed by all of his "kids" and families from soccer and baseball, his large family and many friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his father Joseph.
He is survived by his loving wife Denise; two sons, Nicholas and Cameron; his mother Mary; mother-in-law, Diane Lundell; his siblings and their spouses, Joey and Daena, Brian, Lori and Charlie Ray, Anthony and Julie, and John and Karen; nephews, Matthew, Michael, AJ, Joe, Walter, and Brandon Ray; nieces, Jordan, Breanna, and Taylor; brother-in-law, Phil and his wife Kim, and their children, Brandon and Haley; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, November 27, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
