Susan was born in Southbridge, MA on January 18, 1951 daughter to Arthur and Lorraine (Gendreau) Berard. She was a graduate of Southbridge High School in 1969. She was dedicated to helping others and volunteered as an advisor to parents who had children with autism and were looking for alternative diets and treatments. Susan had a generous heart and when not giving to others she was spending time with her loving family as well as finding peace in her sewing.
