Suzanne Esther Danne (Dailey) died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Bridgeport Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Ulrich Danne and son, Christopher Danne, a brother, Richard Dailey and his wife, Sharon, of South Carolina, a sister, Margaret Wakeman and husband, Russell, of Fairfield, CT and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Elmer S. Dailey, her mother Jenny Dailey (Soloman) and sister, Priscilla DeCarli. Sue was born on March 20, 1940 in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport and graduated from Bassick High School. Fulfilling a childhood dream she was accepted at the prestigious nursing school at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where she received her RN degree and later earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Bridgeport. Suzanne was a compassionate and dedicated nurse and truly loved her profession. She worked in critical care nursing at Bridgeport Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital, Part City Hospital, and the Hospital at Honolulu Hawaii. In later years she did private duty nursing. Suzanne loved traveling and meeting people. Along with her husband and son, she visited almost all the countries in Europe but had a special love for Germany, her husband's native country. They spent many wonderful vacations there and early in their marriage, lived in Germany with his family for a year. She learned to speak fluent German in a short time which was taught by her loving mother-in-law, Herta and sister-in-law, Helga. Friends may call on Friday Dec. 1st between 4:00 and 8:00 at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT.
