Sybil Ann McCoy, passed away from this life on January 24, 2018. Sybil was born on July 5, 1937 in England to Herbert Leonard and Ellen (Fuller) Cook. Sybil grew up during the WWII era and learned how to be very frugal. In 1954, she met her husband, Michael J. McCoy in a movie theater in Braintree, England. In 1968, Sybil became a citizen of the United States of America and England, which she was very proud of. Michael was in the United States Air Force and while he was away for work, Sybil was always supportive of her family whether it was going to all of their activities or being a part of the Air Force Auxiliary Club. She even made clothes, baby-sat, and knitted/crocheted to help supplement her family's income. Sybil worked for 15 years at the Midwest City High School Cafeteria. After retiring, she and Michael enjoyed traveling and ended up living in Florida as "snow birds". She loved beaches of any sort but never liked getting in large bodies of water. In 2014, she made her last trip to England to surprise her family and celebrate her brother's birthday. Sybil was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael J. McCoy; and daughter, Joanne McCoy. Survivors include her children, Jennifer Orr and husband Montie, and Richard McCoy and wife Connie; grandchildren, Angie Miles, Cody Orr, Brett McCoy, Jaime McCoy-Roberts, and Alisha McCoy; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Scheetz; brother, Brian Cook and wife Marion; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other friends and family who will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2018 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
