Terry Herdman, 55 of Station Road died Friday October 14, 2016 at the Westchester Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. He was born March 7, 1961 in Margaretville son of Joan Van Etten Herdman Finch, and the late Gerald Herdman. Terry had been employed by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation at various locations including Belleayre Ski Center, and North/South Lake Campground. He was a skilled mechanic for Trailways bus company, and more recently he could be found on Main Street selling TNT knives and assorted flags. He was a talented 'sound-man' who could tune a base or guitar with great accuracy. Above all, Terry considered his family first.
Surviving in addition to his mother; Joan Finch of Mt. Marion are his wife; Tina Brodhead Herdman, daughter; Kara Herdman of Phoenicia and two sisters; Carol Howard and Rose Rogers. Terry was considered 'another Dad' to many of his children's friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Kalie in 2008 and a brother Carl in 2003.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2016 at 12 noon at the Hudler Cemetery, Rt. 28 Mt. Tremper. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the E. B.
