Thelma was born March 10, 1928 in Fresno, CA. She met her husband, Harold Williams through church activities. They married in 1950 at the Gospel Gleaners church, now known as Niles Assembly of God They started their new lives together at the Oildale Assembly of God church, where Harold attended. Together they worked in various ministries, but Sunday School was where they devoted most of their time.

After several years, they started attending First Assembly of God church. Her husband, Harold, passed away after 53 years of marriage. Thelma continued teaching Sunday School until she retired in 2016.
