Drill Staff Sergeant Theodore Taylor, 69, of East Stroudsburg, PA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Mrs. Barbara Ann Taylor.

Born, March 15, 1948, he was the son of the late Phyllis and Theodore Taylor. He was born in Harlem, NY but raised in Brooklyn, NY.
Theodore met Barbara while attending summer school in 1966. While riding the train together, his first question to her was "Why your feet don't touch the floor?" and the rest is history. They have been happily married for 47 years.

He served in the Armed Forces for well over 20 years, starting out in the Air force then shortly after enlisting into the Army Reserves. He worked many jobs over the years, one of which was a professional photographer before pursuing in a career in the medical field.

While working at the New York Metropolitan Hospital, he aspired to further his education. He went on to attend Staten Island University to obtain his LPN License and soon to become a Registered Nurse, which he had practiced for over 25 years.

Theodore was well loved and adored by everyone he came in contact with. His jovial personality and enormous sense of humor made it so easy to love him. Known as "Big Teddy" to his family and friends, he was fluent in many languages and would wow us all with his intellect and knowledge of many different topics. He had a strong passion for Jazz music and even taught himself how to play the saxophone.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, Theodore was survived by his mother Phyllis Taylor; two brothers: Marvin Taylor and Barry Taylor; four children: Samkee, Theo, Teddy, and Casey; as well as ten grandchildren: Autumn, Charisma, Destiny, Daniel, Sarah, David, Joshua, Aiden, and Gabriel.
