Thomas Noel Stewart, 73, of Haverhill, passed away Wednesday (September 20, 2006) at his residence. The Ironton native was born February 13, 1933, the son of the late John and Thelma Noel Stewart. He was the widower of Alma Marie Hay Stewart, who passed away June 7, 2004.
Mr. Stewart was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a brick layer at Armco Steel for 36 years, a 1950 graduate of Ironton High School and was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by:

He is survived by:
daughter and son-in-law: Francine and Jay Nichols of Franklin Furnace
daughter: Connie Stewart Dalton of South Point
daughter and son-in-law: Bonnie and Rick Whitt of Spartanburg, SC
son and daughter-in-law: Frank and Linnie Stewart of Orange, TX
son and daughter-in-law: John and Darlene Stewart of Haverhill
son: Dallas Stewart of Haverhill
sister: Wanda Graff of Haverhill
sister: Linda Young of Ashland, KY
8 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren

Funeral service will be Saturday (September 23, 2006) 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home 1004 South 7th Street, Ironton, Ohio with Pastor Patrick Mayle officiating. Burial will follow in Haverhill Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday after 12:00 noon. Military Rites provided by VFW Post 8850 at the cemetery.
