Thomas Ryan Moreno

July 21. 1971 - April 16, 2017

Thomas Ryan Moreno (Tommy) was born July 21, 1971 at San Joaquin General Hospital and remained a life long resident of Stockton, California until his death on April 16, 2017. Tommy had been battling a year long illness involving his liver.

Tommy is survived by Rachelle Aubert Moreno, wife; Thomas (Tom) Moreno, Father; Sharon Ryan Jackson, Mother; Steve Jackson, Step-Father; Michelle Moreno Hernandez, Sister; Richie Hernandez, Brother-in-Law; all of Stockton. Tommy is also survived by loving Aunts and Uncles along with many cousins, nieces and nephews who he adored..

Tommy attended local schools and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1989 where he had been inducted into the schools Football Hall of Fame. Following his graduation Tommy worked a number of jobs in the local area later becoming a Plastics Molding Technician, a job he loved. Tommy was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49’ers Football and the San Francisco Giants Baseball often dressing in the appropriate team’s jersey while he would watch the games. He also became moderately addicted to NASCAR racing. When not involved with various sporting events Tommy enjoyed attending rock concerts.

Tommy was also quite well known, in his local circle, as a “grill master” and enjoyed outdoor cooking for friends and family through out the summer months and , at times, well into the fall. He could be seen standing over the grill while his pet cats circled his legs waiting for one of the tasty morsels to drop. Tommy’s shy grins and the six foot three inch frame of the “Gentle Giant” will be greatly missed by all who knew and dearly loved him.

In celebration of Tommy’s life, services will be conducted at the DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, California 95219. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from noon until 5:00 PM. The celebration of life service will be conducted on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
