Mrs. Tommye Sue Tracy passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Nacogdoches Medical Center at the age of 86.

Mrs. Tracy was born September 3, 1931, in Sulphur Bluff, Texas, to parents Thomas A. and Nannie (Stubblefield) Lewis. She was married to Reynold Tracy and they lived in various places during his career with the U.S. Air Force. They settled in Nacogdoches, Texas, in 1979.

Throughout the years, she was a faithful homemaker and took great pleasure in cooking and baking for her family, whose favorite desserts were her chocolate and pecan pies. She loved flowers and gardening and enjoyed watching birds and squirrels and tending to her chickens and cats, including Buddy, her faithful friend. She worked for eight years in the cafeteria for Nacogdoches High School. Many of the students she served went on to become successful business professionals in Nacogdoches. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother with a smile on her face. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a favorite charity.

Her survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Jan Tracy of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Patrick and Beyra Tracy of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Inez Grice of Greenville, Texas; grandchildren, Thomas Tracy of Nacogdoches, Texas, Shelby Massey and husband Brad Massey of Austin, Texas, and Weston Taylor Tracy of Nacogdoches, Texas; and great-grandsons, Travis Massey and Evan Massey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reynold Tracy; a son, Mark Tracy; a grandson Travis Matt Tracy; parents, Thomas and Nannie Lewis; and brothers, James Lewis, Troy Lewis, and Dennis Lewis.
