Vango loved life and his curious nature led him to learn about what the world had to offer. He was always exploring a new hobby and sharing all the intricate details with enthusiasm. He loved traveling to new countries, whistling along to music, eating fresh, wild seafood (mussles! trout!), swimming in the ocean (butterfly-style), remembering hours of details on history, watching cooking shows, visiting his hometown Narta, reading news on his iPad, mastering lamb kabobs in the grill, perfecting latte art in his barista machine, building tools and decorations for his home, sprinkling fresh herbs on all foods, watching football for too many hours on Sundays, running and hiking trails, eating chocolate while watching HBO TV Shows, appreciating nature, photographing sunsets, Greek mythology, researching the latest technology, listening to podcasts and audiobooks while driving and making his own wine and vinegar.

Vango's favorite thing in the world though was bringing people together around a home-cooked meal, good wine, story-telling and laughter. He loved his friends and family more than anything. After having a cardiac arrest, he leaves behind his wife Mimoza (54), his daughter Arla (30) and his son Mike (27). His wife is also an engineer in the oil & gas industry. His daughter Arla went to Stanford twice (Economics '10, MBA '15) and currently lives in San Francisco and runs her own mobile app company. His son Mike went to University of Texas (Finance '12) and currently lives in Austin, Texas and runs his own health & fitness app company. Vango will be missed deeply.
