Viola M. Miner, 100 a resident of Keene, NH, passed away peacefully at the Keene Center Genesis, Keene, NH on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

She was born October 31, 1917 in Fitchburg, MA the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Sutkaitis) Bibik. She was a 1936 graduate of St. Bernard's High School. After graduation she worked for Charlton Fur Co. as a stenographer. In 1942 she moved to Bellows Falls, VT to work at the Style Center. She met her husband there and moved to Fitchburg in 1944: her two sons were born there. The family moved to Claremont, NH., when her husband owned and operated a bus line. They moved to Keene, NH in 1957, where she worked for Princess Shoe Co. Her husband passed away in 1979.

She was a communicant of the Parish of the Holy Spirit and was a very active member in various groups, including the former Catholic Daughters, Court Josephine #319 and the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality. She was also a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, a volunteer at Maplewood Nursing Home, a volunteer at the Catholic Faith Formation Center and worked at the Red Cross Blood Drives for many years.

She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting: she knitted hats for premature babies born at local hospitals. She was a loving and compassionate "Mom", "Gram" and "Nana" and loved spending time with her family, especially during the Holidays.

She is survived by two sons: William H. Miner, Jr and his wife Regina of Keene, NH and Raymond Miner and his wife Marion of Crossville, TN, her step-daughter: Sandi Cragin of Claremont, NH, three grandchildren: Jennifer Malila, Lorielle Basilio and Daniel Miner two step-grandchildren: Lori Cragin and Matthew Cragin. great-grandchildren: Dylan Maliska, Makinley Ball, Alek Malila and one on the way, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is also survived by her dear friend: Dickie Dintino. She is predeceased by her husband: William H. Miner, Sr and ten brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. Bernard Church, 185 Main Street, Keene, NH at 11:30am. Burial will follow in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Ave, Keene, NH. Family and friends are invited to call on the family from 10am to 11am at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH. The family asks that those attending the services wear pink in honor of Viola.
