Virgil Wayne Robinson, 71, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at his home, after a short illness. Virgil was born April 26, 1946, to Roy and Irma Robinson. He served in the Mississippi Army National Guard. He taught drafting at the Prentiss County Vo-Tech. Virgil was one of the original charter members and retired after teaching for 35 years. He served for 15 years as president of the Tri State Coin and Relic Hunter's Club and was a past president of Woodmen Life Booneville Chapter 60. Being an avid Civil War enthusiast, he gave many presentations throughout the area.

A celebration of life service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2017, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Kerry Powell officiating. Tributes will be given by Mike Kelly and Travis Childers.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Cox Robinson; one daughter, Cindy (Doug) Lytal of Mooreville; two grandchildren, Megan and Kaley Lytal; one sister, Linda Brown; cousins, Jimmie (Roma Lea) Short, Theresa Collins; and various nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Honorary Pall bearers are his Hardee's morning coffee group and members of the Tri-State Coin and Relic Hunter's Club

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS 39213.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
