Virginia was the daughter of Joseph T. and Bernadine Christian. She was born in Lake Charles on November 13, 1942 and raised on the Christian Dairy Farm in Kinder, LA. She was a talented, bright, and beautiful young woman. Virginia was a 1960 graduate of Kinder High School, the salutatorian of her class, a cheerleader, FFA Sweetheart, Miss Kinder, Kinder's Junior Miss, and 1960 Louisiana's Junior Miss competing at the national pageant in Mobile, Alabama.
